Automate Your Website Payments with M-PESA & Card Integration
Many customers stop buying when they have to type in a Till Number manually or send you a screenshot of their payment. This creates extra work for you and makes customers go away. We change this by making your website handle everything automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a personal M-PESA number for this integration?
No. Safaricom requires an official Business Till (Buy Goods) or a Paybill Number. Personal “Pochi la Biashara” numbers and personal M-PESA numbers do not support API connections.
Is the M-PESA integration secure?
Yes. We use the official Safaricom Daraja API. This means your website never sees or stores your customer’s M-PESA PIN. The payment happens directly between the customer’s phone and Safaricom’s secure servers.
How long does the setup take?
A standard integration usually takes between 3 to 21 working days , depending on your package. This includes the time needed to link the API, test the payment flows in a safe environment, and ensure your website is updating orders correctly.
What happens if a customer enters the wrong PIN?
The system handles this automatically. If the payment fails at the M-PESA level, the website will show a “Payment Failed” message and ask the customer to try again. You won’t have to do anything.
Can I accept payments from outside Kenya?
Absolutely. By integrating Card payments or services like Pesapal, PayPal and Flutterwave, you can receive money from customers anywhere in the world using their credit or debit cards.
What is "STK Push" and why is it better?
STK Push is the technology that sends a popup directly to the customer’s phone asking for their PIN. It is better because the customer doesn’t have to remember your Till Number or the amount. This “one-tap” experience significantly reduces the number of people who abandon their carts at checkout.
Do I need to be a registered company (Limited) to get this?
No. You can get a Business Till or Paybill as a Sole Proprietor using your National ID and a Business Name Certificate. We work with both small startups and large established companies to get their payments running.
What happens if Safaricom’s system goes down?
While Safaricom is very stable, downtime can happen. Our integration includes error handling that tells the customer to try again in a few minutes rather than showing a broken code page. We also log every attempt so you can see if a customer tried to pay but failed.
Can I accept payments in USD?
Yes. If we integrate a gateway like Flutterwave or PesaPal, the system can show your prices in Dollars for international customers. The money is then converted at the current rate and settled into your Kenyan bank account.
Will I get a notification for every payment?
Yes. You will receive the standard M-PESA message on your business phone, but more importantly, your website will send you an email and update your dashboard automatically. You will see exactly which Order ID was paid without matching codes manually.
Do I have to pay a monthly fee for the integration?
No. Our service is a one-time setup fee. Once the integration is live, you only deal with the standard transaction transaction fees from Safaricom or your chosen gateway (usually between 0.5% and 3% depending on the provider).
Does Stripe work for businesses based in Kenya?
As of 2026, Stripe does not support direct payouts to Kenyan bank accounts unless you have a registered entity in a supported country (like the US or UK). However, we can help you use Flutterwave or PesaPal as a “Stripe alternative” to accept global credit cards directly into your Kenyan bank
Can I accept Airtel Money and Telkom T-Kash too?
Yes. While M-PESA is the most popular, we can use gateways like PesaPal or Flutterwave to ensure that customers using Airtel Money or T-Kash can also pay you. This ensures you never miss a sale just because a customer uses a different network.
How does Flutterwave help me sell across Africa?
If you want to sell to customers in Nigeria, Ghana, or Uganda, Flutterwave is the best tool. It integrates with your WooCommerce store and allows your neighbors to pay using their own local mobile money (like MTN or Airtel Money), while you receive the funds in Kenya Shillings.
What is the "Safaricom Daraja API" I keep hearing about?
Daraja is the gateway provided by Safaricom that allows your website to “talk” to M-PESA. We handle the technical side of connecting to Daraja so that your website can securely trigger the STK Push (the PIN prompt) on your customer’s phone.
Does the system handle VAT and Tax automatically?
Yes. We configure your WooCommerce tax settings so that when a payment is processed through M-PESA or Card, the total amount includes the correct VAT. Your automated receipts will show a clear breakdown, making your KRA tax filing much easier at the end of the month.
